God directed Quirinius & Caesar to take census, moving Joseph & Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, for Birth, fulfilling OT prophecy.
God worked in the details of Christ's birth (timing, location). The King of the universe & King of Israel was born in a stable, to a virgin.
God is active in our society, regardless of decay.
