Marriage requires the same kind of commitment that salvation requires.
Lk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
A Right Relationship with God and spouse requires.
Reassigning of Authority. From parents, from family, from self from all others to Christ and to husband (see Ge. 2:24).
Realigning of Alliances. Focused on God and His people and including the spouses family, in the Lord (see Ru. 1:16).
Redirecting of Actions. We no longer live for ourselves but for God and spouse (see Mt. 16:25-26).
THE BIBLICAL ORDER
Christ is the head of the man and the man is the head of the wife.
