Some treasures are just scattered over the ground,
available to anyone who will take the time to pick them up, while
other treasures are hidden and need to be found or dug out of the
ground, mountain or depths of the sea.
Some people are too sorry to
pick up the treasure God sets before them. Or they call it luck. Or
they say it is their rightful possession. Or they think they have
earned it.
Some people will work hard to mine the baubles and trinkets of life, but refuse to invest time and energy in the eternal riches that await those who seek with their whole being.
Matthew 6:33

Matthew 7:7-8
(7) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
(8) For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Romans 2:6-10
(6) Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
(7) To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
(8) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
(9) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
(10) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
