Around 1961 I heard a teacher simply mention a story about time
travelers who changed history because someone accidentally stepped
off of the approved path, and killed a butterfly. I thought
about that story for 48 years. (Recently found out its origin and learned it became a movie).
Though I only knew very little info, the story stayed with me. I have probably thought about that concept every year, since my freshman year in high school. I have wondered how the story developed and what changes took place, etc.
My point is, we can say things to people is such a way that they remember it for a long, long time. Hopefully someone else will come along and fill in the gaps of their understanding. If a Sci-Fi story can stick in a person's mind, certainly the Holy Spirit can "stick" the truth in a person's mind.
