Not So True
You are not going to believe what I
encountered today! A person with a bad attitude and a sour
disposition. No, really. Hard to believe. I told her what I thought
of negative people and toxic personalities. When I got to work, I put
all of those characters in place too. I came home and told my wife
and seven children what I thought, and I kicked the dog for good
measure. Everyone should be as Christian as I am.
True
Because of a business computer failure, I spent about 30 minutes waiting in a store where people were becoming mean spirited and verbally abusive with one another. I had the opportunity to share with the workers and patrons that Jesus saves from all of that negativity. Some of them kept verbally pushing me, to see if I would, "lose it." I held my ground and kept loving them. Eventually, without being urged to do so, some of them apologized to me for the way they had acted.
Light In Darkness
What would our world be like if we really did, "Spread a little sunshine" in the midst of the darkness (Ep. 5:8)? Often times, a soft answer does turns away wrath (Pr. 15:1). And let us not forget that the wrath of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God (Ja. 1:20).
