The backlash of Islamic violence is to blame Christianity for violence that has been done by groups or individuals who call themselves Christian. Here is the difference.
Always remember, people who attend Christian churches may do evil things, but they are not told to do evil things by the Bible, the God of the Bible or preachers who accurately preach the Bible. Muslims may do evil things because they either see it in the Koran or because they are taught to do evil things by those who are authorities in the Koran. A Christian is a person who has a loving relationship with God through Christ and follows Christ and the teachings of the New Testament. A Muslim is a person who believes in the god of the Koran and believes that Mohammed was that god's prophet.
Read The New Testament
The
violent Catholics and Protestants of Ireland are not Bible believing
Christians. The violent, so called "Christians," of any
land are not Bible believing Christians. Christians do not kill other
people, whether abortionists or Muslim or Communists. Christians love their enemies. When a person does not love
others, it is because they do not love God. Being Christian means
that we will hate the evil ways of other people, but we will love the
people. Loving someone does not exempt them from judgment for evil, however, justice is the responsibility of the State, not the Christian.
While we
cannot be judgmental, we must judge right and wrong, be fruit
inspectors. We cannot sit in judgment and pretend to know the secrets of men's hearts, but we can judge by their outward lives what kind of people they are, provided we judge in mercy and truth, according to the Bible.
A Common Error
Western society (at large) has always mistakenly considered everyone to be Christian, unless they declared themselves to be part of a different religious group (Jew, Muslim, Buddhist). It was as if being born an American was being born a Christian. They also mistook Catholicism for Christianity. They saw Christianity as a religion, not as a saving faith. This is still true, as seen in the media. The media, and society erroneously believe that Christians enforce beliefs and life-style with violence. This leads to a violent confrontation between so-called Christians and Muslims.

We are now in a post modern, post Christian world, and this will cause more people to view Christianity as an enemy of the people and State, because they do not know what Christianity actually is. Society moves from one erroneous view of Christ, salvation and the Bible to another erroneous view. Truth is not a path they travel.
