12/11/09 MORE ON BEING CONTENT

As in an earlier post, I prefer a life without suffering and want, after all, that is what eternity is going to be like. However, I do not believe what John Osteen taught, which is, "Poverty is Sin." Yes, poverty may come from personal sin, but NOT ALL POVERTY Is The RESULT Of PERSONAL SIN. IT IS OK FOR CHRISTIANS TO BE PHYSICALLY SICK OR POOR, READ THE BOOK. Health and Wealth in this life IS NOT The PROOF Of FAITH.

I know this is not the Religiously Correct point of view and it will not sell books or draw large crowds, but it is still true.

This is not an argument for defeated living or poverty or sickness. God often delivers from these things in this present evil world. However, Deeply Dedicated and Faithful Followers of Christ Sometimes Suffer Significant Struggles. In fact, the Closer we are to Christ, the more we may Called to Encounter, Experience and Endure.

The Treasures of God's Power and Presence is often Proved through Present Pressures, more than in the Passing Pleasures.

Hebrews 5:7-9
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
