SOME THOUGHTS ON PRAYER
God expects short and quick prayers as
well as extended prayers and overnight prayers. Sometimes God calls
His closest followers to all night prayer and worship. He supplies
the strength. Prayer is co-laboring with God. If we don't do our
part, it won't get done. I have included some verses that address the
subject of prayer in the Christian life.
Jesus Prayed
Luke 6:12
(12) And it came to pass in those
days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all
night in prayer to God.
Hebrews 5:7
(7) Who in the days of his flesh, when
he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and
tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in
that he feared;

Pray for those Who are Demonized
Matthew 17:19-21

of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a
grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence

unto you.

but by prayer and fasting.
Pray for Israel
Romans 10:1
(1) Brethren, my heart's desire and
prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
Pray for Deliverance from Temptation
Matthew 6:13
(13) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Jesus Prayer (John 17)

Him in heaven.
Jesus prayed for the Love of God to be
in His followers.
Prayer for the Ministry
We should follow the example of the
early Church, which prayed fervently for one another.

(9) For God is my witness, whom I
serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I
make mention of you always in my prayers;

(12) Rejoicing in hope; patient in
tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
