6/22/09 A FATHER'S DAY PARABLE

JUNE 22, 2009
On his way to scrounge for empty bottles, Mr. Young passed the old abandoned mine daily, missing its hidden treasures.

DLG Parable...
Mr. Young  represents all of the people (male or female) who are looking for the treasures of life, but end up collecting "pop" bottles to sell for mere pennies.

The "old, abandoned mine" represents the overlooked mature believer who has dug out the treasures of spiritual diamonds, gold and silver. He/she holds these treasures in trust for those who are wise enough to ask for them and receive them.

The wisdom of maturity goes undiscovered because it is avoided, neglected and rejected.

Launch Out and Hold Fast,
Pastor David L. Gould
